Tie everything to scripture —everything you say tie a scripture to it. Every point that you wanna make, every doctrine that isn’t founded on scripture it is not a Biblical doctrine. We as individuals aren’t enough. We cannot say “because I said so” — to fellow adults and believers or Kingdom seeker. That type of response is putting you in a position of God and you are not The God above all gods. You are not Him that’s how a occults lead. They base their teachings and assert authority over individuals based on their own reason and logic and that’s how error is done — that’s how deception is accomplished and that’s how bad fruit is made.
