Episode Synopsis
Parenting can be an amazing yet stressful experience, especially with limited resources. The inability to find ways to relieve stress can lead to Parental burnout. We have talked about the importance of self-care for parents to prevent this from happening, and now, in this episode of Raising Parents: Parenting Science Insights Podcast, host Dina Sargeant is joined by Hélène Gatland to talk about parental burnout.
Hélène has been passionately working with families since the turn of the century and holds a Master of Psychology specializing in child and adolescent development. She has been certified by the Training Institute in this field and highlighted some important knowledge about parental burnout, including the determination of its symptoms and studies about the difference between burnout experienced by moms and dads. Hélène also shared some practices to prevent parental burnout and answered some questions from audiences related to this topic.
