Episode Synopsis

This photographic Exhibition at Petersfield Museum and Art Gallery, Where the Light falls; Winifred Joseph's Rural Archive, combines history and art, capturing life in the Petersfield area from 1917 to 1940 and displayed so they can be savoured .  The exhibition runs until 20 December and the unique prints are for sale.  The Head of Exhibitions and Collections, Louise Weller, tells Mike Waddington about the arrival of  'kodaking', as this kind of photography was known, and what it tells us about Winifred (a Dispenser of medicines, who worked for Dr Harry Roberts in Stepney) and life in this area at that time.
