A Psalm of David.62 My soul waits in silence for God only; From Him is my salvation.-          The title of this message is God Alone a Refuge from Treachery and Oppressiono   First we note the God Alone is the answero   Second we note that God is a Refuge, a place of safety to run tooo   Third we learn God is a refuge from Treachery & Oppression§  Treachery is a violation of allegiance or of faith; behavior that deceives or is not loyal to someone who trusts you§  Oppression is unjust or cruel exercise of authority or power; prevented from having freedom or opportunities-          For the choir director, according to Jeduthun, A Psalm of Davido   This means this passage was meant to be a song that would be taught, memorized and sang in order to remember the wordso   Jeduthun means praise or to praise-          So we learn from this title that:o   God alone is the answero   He is a refuge, a safe place to run tooo   From deceptive disloyal people and people trying to prevent your freedom & opportunitieso   We should remember and sing this songo   The result will end in praise to God!-          My Soul waits in silence for God onlyo   This is the key §  To wait in silence for God only-          From Him is my salvationo   The reason you wait for Him o   Because He is the only One who can provide eternal salvationo   Nobody else’s opinion matterso   So we learn to wait on Him and not take matters into our own hands2 He only is my rock and my salvation, My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shaken.-          He only is my rock and my salvationo   Again it is He only (Jesus Christ and not other name under heaven)o   He is my rock (solid ground on which to stand or build your life upon)o   And my salvation (the One who save me from everything in this life)-          My stronghold; I shall not be greatly shakeno   My stronghold is a rock fortress which cannot be penetrated by your enemieso   In short, God will protect you from all harmo   Therefore, I shall not be greatly shaken§  This means nothing else should rock your world because God is your protector§  If God is your rock and salvation, you have nothing to fearIntro to Outbless Weekly Thanks for listening to Outbless.com
