A [b]Mikhtam of David, [c]when the Philistines seized him in Gath.56 Be gracious to me, O God, for man has [d]trampled upon me; [e]Fighting all day long he oppresses me.-          The title of this message is supplication for deliverance and grateful trust in God-          the word supplication means an urgent request (it is a form of urgent prayer)-          this prayer As for deliverance (this means to be delivered from a bad outcome to a good one)-          and grateful trust in God (When you put your trust in God you will have much to be grateful for)-          For the choir director (the one who is supposed to encourage praise)-          According to Jonath Elem Rehokim (the silent dove of far-off places)-          A Mikhtam of Davido   The name Mikhtam means “golden thing that covers or hides” or “precious tablet inscription” the idea is so precious of words it warrants being engraved.
