She is originally from the Hudson Valley, NY and received her Bachelor of Science from Marist College. She earned her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA.Dr. Stewart has worked with athletes from the NHL, NFL and NBA as well as professional athletes in squash, lacrosse and figure skating. She has trained youth, elite and recreational athletes in basketball, baseball, tennis, soccer, lacrosse, hockey and volleyball.Dr Stewart was presented with the Theia Award for Innovation by Women in Optometry in 2019 for her work in sports and performance vision. She was also named to the Advisory Board for the International Sports Vision Association (ISVA). She also regularly lectures, writes, and consults in the field of sports vision and other optometric topics.Dr. Stewart is a former Division I track and field athlete and still holds two college records. She is also an active triathlete, runner and cyclist.
