After Jesus Christ went to heaven, the disciples took over His ministrations and started doing same things Jesus did. But before Jesus left, Jesus told them to stay at the upper room to wait for the Holy Spirit to fill them with power for the assignment ahead of them. And we see it from the first day how Peter who was once shy to be associated with Jesus preached the Gospel of Jesus Christ fearlessly. Everyone who received the Holy Spirit has same in filling power of God too. And nothing was stopping them no matter the challenges. Once there was persecution in a place, it made them to want to do more by going to new places. The Holy Spirit is also available for us in our days today. In the world we live in today that people are making sin look like the normal things to do, where evil is more celebrated, then we need the Holy Spirit to stand for the truth and also to preach the true Gospel of Jesus Christ both in our behaviors and in words if God gives chance to speak about it. Maybe on our social media platforms or even among our friends when they ask us questions or when they offer us sin, it is the Holy Spirit that helps us to say NO and such times are good opportunities to explain God's standards about it. We see how a once sorcerer who got saved tried to purchase the power of God by offering money to the apostles but he was reproved that there is wickedness in his heart for doing that. So if in the time of apostles giving money in exchange for the power of God that comes from receiving the Holy Spirit is wickedness, don't you think it's same standard today. That is to tell you, churches where pastors ask you to give money to receive a gift is just wickedness. It's not Gospel standard. Run from such gatherings or such so called men of God. They are not working for God. They are probably working for their stomachs or they are using some divination powers to do such things of collecting money from people who labour tirelessly for their money, these people need this money that's why they worked for it but the pastor use his bewitchment to collect the money from them, this is not Gospel. Jesus always want to make people who are under bondage to be free not adding to the bondage. May God help us. Amen.
