Jesus calls us salt to sweeten every where God puts us. Jesus calls us light to brighten the darkness everywhere God puts us. God doesn't want us to hide our light, God doesn't want us to mix up with the darkness and be lost in the dark too, God wants us to give light to everyone around us. Most times it's not even by our words, it is by our way of life, it is by rejecting the sinful offers they bring to us that is how we are shining our light. May God help us that our salt will not be trodden under foot of men. That is what happens when instead of standing out you choose to join them, they will not see the difference between you and them and they will not value your presence in their lives, they will offer you more sinful and destructive things, that is salt being trodden under foot of people because it lost its savor. You will think they don't value you when you are doing right but secretly they do. Don't join them, stand out.
