Listen "Spindler's Impact: A Transfer Success Story"
Episode Synopsis
Rocco Spindler, a senior offensive guard, has declared for the 2026 NFL draft, ending his five-season college career at Nebraska. Spindler, who played for two different programs and appeared in over sixty games, significantly boosted Nebraskas offensive line during his one season with the team. He brought experience, a strong physical presence, and reliability to the right guard position, helping stabilize the offensive line and contributing to junior running back Emmett Johnsons impressive rushing yards. Spindlers leadership, maturity, and attention to detail earned him respect within the offensive line room, and his ability to anchor the interior of the line was a defining characteristic of the Husker ground attack. His departure leaves a significant void for Nebraska, both on-field and in terms of leadership. Despite some criticism of the unit during parts of 2025, Spindler was one of only three offensive linemen to earn All-Big Ten recognition under coach Donovan Raiola. His technique, physicality, and consistency were bright spots on the offensive line, and with a healthy recovery, he has a strong chance at the NFL next season. The Daily News Now! - Every city.
