Ep 30. Hey everyone! WOW - thank you for a great year together and for all your feedback and encouragement. It’s great to hear that this podcast has changed people’s lives and helped them move forward in their finances. That’s what we’re all about here at Waymaker. So, in our final episode for the year and for season 1 of the show, we’re going to recap the top 10 money mindsets from this year that we learnt together, and keep those top of mind as we move forward into 2023. Don't miss this one! Here we go...Show notes: Living costs. Episode 19. Food, Housing & Transport are the top 3 costs. Stay in control by changing how you operate in these 3 areas.Cashflow. Episode 18. To stop the credit crunch, we can implement a cash flow system so we can manage our daily finances and also plan out our year.Home loans. We did several sessions around home loans. What’s involved when getting a home loan ep 14, how to pay it off quick ep 17 (Mortgage Crusher), concessions on buying your home (ep 16 Q&A), First Home Super Saver Scheme ep 13. The mindset here is get a home that’s suitable for you, that will help you achieve freedom, not chew all your money. A home is more than just aesthetics, it’s about security and peace.Awareness in our finances. Episode 11.  We are easily programmed if things match our beliefs and we resist any change when it conflicts with our beliefs. Eg people say they don't believe in super, or shares are too risky. WE talked about this in episode 1 with assumptions as well. Cars. "You need a car loan" that’s the common lie sold to us. You can actually invest to buy cars and do really well. And buy cars cheaper that you would with cash or debt. We talked about an investment strategy called The Million Dollar Car in episodes 5 & 6. Shares vs property. I have to choose a side. We talked about this in episode 23 on assumptions. And we talked about the difference between gambling and investing.Having a long-term plan is key. Otherwise you’ll just fall into the marketing noise and hype. We talked about this in episode 2. Short-term goals are often just spending goals. Long-term goals and have a long-term plan helps us navigate life and stay on the path we want. It takes time to develop a long term plan. What is Investing? 4 things to look for when you’re investing in anything. We talked about this in episode 7, then followed up your questions in episode 9.  Resilience is key. In episode 8 we talked about stress, decision making and avoidance. We encouraged you around building financial resilience, and some tips of how to do that. Episode 8 is a 10-min one, so its nice and short. We can’t change on our own. In episode 25 we talked about our Advocacy program and how we’re designed to change with others. We talked about the importance of having trusted people with us on the journey to help us install good mindsets and build on good values in and around our finances. In episode 25 we also talked about what the Waymaker Advocacy program is, and what people are achieving when they join our community. Thanks for rating and reviewing the podcast 😊 Talk to an Advocate FREE: waymakerfinance.com.au👉 Follow us on Instagram for tips and money hacks: @waymakerfinance📧 Send us your money questions for future Q&A shows:  [email protected] Over Money is a podcast that helps Australians change their money mindsets - so that they can live a life of freedom, generosity and joy.Share this podcast with your friends: waymakerpodcast.com.auIMPORTANT: All of our content inclu
