Bear In The Forest is the musical soulcraft of a man known simply as Bear—a wandering troubadour whose songs shimmer with mysticism and memory. Born in New Orleans, raised amongst the lake and seasons of Milwaukee, and now rooted in Madison, Bear weaves his story through melody, lyric, and atmosphere.



A classically trained violinist, choir-honed vocalist, and self-taught guitarist, Bear’s sound is both studied and wild—elegant in its composition yet raw in its feeling. His early artistry was sharpened within the First Wave scholarship program at the University of Wisconsin, where hip hop, spoken word, and activism braided into his evolving voice.
