Episode Synopsis

Ski Report for Mammoth Mountain, CaliforniaDaily Ski Conditions for Mammoth Mountain, CaliforniaMammoth Mountain is firing on all cylinders as we head into the final weekend of November, and if you've been itching to get some turns in, there's plenty of reason to dust off your skis or grab your board. Here's the latest on what's happening up at the mountain. As of Friday afternoon, 15 lifts are spinning with 16 of the mountain's 25 total lifts operational, giving you solid access to the terrain. The base is sitting at a modest 12 inches of snow depth, while up top near the summit at 11,053 feet, conditions are significantly better with much deeper coverage. The piste conditions are packed powder and groomed snow, which means you're looking at that classic corduroy experience that makes early season riding so satisfying. The recent snowfall has been a game changer. Between November 16 and now, Mammoth has picked up between 7 to 16 inches depending on elevation, which was exactly what the mountain needed to get more terrain dialed in after an unusually warm autumn. Earlier in mid-November, there was even a report of around 6 inches of fresh snow hitting mid-Broadway, with significantly deeper accumulation up top. The snowmaking crews have also been working around the clock during optimal conditions, which has helped build out the base and extend the skiable terrain from the Main Lodge area.Weather-wise, expect mostly sunny conditions this weekend with temperatures in the low to mid 40s at the base and around 32 to 33 degrees at the summit. Wind is light at just a couple miles per hour, so you won't have to battle any gnarly gusts while carving it up. Looking ahead to next week, there's some snow in the forecast, with about 1 centimeter expected Tuesday evening and a more significant 5 centimeters potentially rolling in Wednesday morning. That could be enough to refresh the slopes and keep things feeling fresh into early December. The vibe at Mammoth right now is stoked but manageable. While the base depths aren't mind-blowing, the mountain's sheer elevation and solid early season snowfall have allowed them to open with decent terrain variety. You're looking at variable conditions in some areas, but the groomed runs are solid and the mountain is operating smoothly as we head into the busy holiday week. One heads up: Canyon Lodge is closed starting Monday, December 1st and will reopen as conditions allow, so plan your day around Main Lodge access for now. But with 15 lifts running and the weather cooperating, this is the perfect time to get out there and make some turns before the holiday rush really kicks into high gear. The season extends all the way through June 7, so there's plenty of time ahead, but getting vertical time in now before things get crowded is never a bad call. The best deals on gear https://amzn.to/49QUryFThis content was created in partnership and with the help of Artificial Intelligence AI
