On this week’s episode of Love Needs No Words we are joined by Jessie Townz who has a 7-year-old boy with a Pathological Demand Avoidance Profile. Jessie home educated her son for two years whilst navigating the school system and explains to us that at its worst, her son's behaviour can be so overpowering and controlling, it can feel like you are in an abusive relationship.With still little understanding of PDA in society, Jessie through her instagram page @mrsjessietownz is raising awareness and supporting other parents who have children with a PDA profile. As well as offering support to teachers and learning staff who have a PDA’ers in their setting.
