Kodai Senga delivered once again and Pete Alonso hit ANOTHER home-run as the New York Mets defeated the St Louis Cardinals, 3-0. With the win, the Mets extended their winning streak to three and took the series from the Cardinals. Senga followed up his masterclass in his last outing with a start that was just as good. He hit some trouble in the 6th, but left with a lead and no damage was allowed. The story for the Mets in the early part of the season has been Pete Alonso and the bullpen, with today being no different.
