The San Francisco Giants shook up their roster prior to their Tuesday night showdown with the Toronto Blue Jays, and they were immediately rewarded with some exciting results. The Giants trailed 3-2 going into the bottom of the ninth, after Tyler Fitzgerald had homered in the bottom of the eighth to make it a one-run game. Patrick Bailey hit a one-out single, and with two outs, Fitzgerald drew a well-earned walk and Brett Wisely hit a ground ball in a perfect spot to tie the game. The Giants then won on a walk-off wild pitch, the first time they've done that since 2009.The roster moves that have shaken up the SF Giants' roster in recent days have been the DFA of shortstop Nick Ahmed and the trade of veteran outfielder Austin Slater. The Slater trade opened up more playing time for Luis Matos, who went 1-for-3 and was the only Giants starter not to strike out last night. The Ahmed DFA opened up playing time for Wisely and Fitzgerald, who were key in the Giants' comeback win and will hold down the shortstop spot at least for the next few weeks leading up to the trade deadline.Blake Snell, Thairo Estrada, and Wilmer Flores were also activated prior to last night's game. Snell turned in his best start as a member of the Giants. Snell's season has been marred by two identical groin injuries and poor performance in his limited time on the field. Last night was the first time Snell completed five innings, and it was also the first time he allowed fewer than three runs (he allowed zero).
