Episode Synopsis

In this week's episode, Dr. Aginah speaks with three young Black men working in the field of education. Much has been said about the need of diversity in the field of education. Former U.S. Secretaries of Education, presidents of HBCUs, teachers, students and parents, have pushed for a more divorce teaching force; particularly noting the need for Black male teachers. Black men are only 2% of the teaching profession while 15.7% of public school students in America are Black. Euguene Muhammad, Jamil Muhammad, and Mikal Muhammad are three young teachers committed to making a difference in the lives of children. They will share their journey in the field of education and provide insight about best practices for interested in pursuing a career as an educator.
