Weini recently broke her own US half-marathon record at the Houston Half-Marathon last month, running a blazing 66 minutes!We got the full race recap, training insight before the race, and more! Weini also talked to us about her experience at the Paris Olympics, where she placed top 10 in the Olympic 10k. We also got a sneak peek on her 2025 race plans, listen to see if she runs a marathon this year! On the second half of the podcast, we got to know Weini more personally. She told us her story of growing up in Eritrea, moving from Eritrea to the US, starting high school knowing no English, and adjusting to life in the US. A long time ago, Weini made goals of graduating school and make the Olympics. She accomplished both of those goals.
