For episode 23, we once again cross the Atlantic, this time to speak with Kate. A troubled home life when she was young led to Kate immersing herself in academia, before discovering prescription painkillers as a result of surgery. Kate became dependant on her medication, but finding herself pregnant, she somehow shook off her addiction to them. After the shock of discovering her husband was having an affair, she turned to alcohol for solace, and having become addicted to it, subsequently lost everything. But fate had another twist for Kate, and she was given the chance to rebuild her life.
