In episode 17 of “Let's Recover Together”, we are delighted to be joined by Luca. He starts by telling us about his childhood, when he was bullied by some of his peer group, and struggled to make sense of who he was and how he fitted into the world. In his teens, and by now part of the “skater” community, he discovered alcohol, and later drugs. A reliance on these led him to addiction, and as he moved into his twenties, Luca also struggled with food and binge eating. OCD created the perfect storm for his addictions to run out of control, until, by chance rather than plan, he became father to, in his own words, “a beautiful daughter”. With the catalyst for his recovery now in his life, he discovered The Living Room.
