On this #TRANSFORMATIONTUESDAY we can go back just 3 years ago when the 5lbs dumbbell took every ounce of strength both physical 💪 and mental 🤯to lift
I wasn't thinking about PRs or Abs...the biggest goal I had those days was getting up and out of my hospital bed alone and walking🚶
#guillainbarresyndrome they called it and while I was in ICU one doctor after the other painted a worse picture than the next... "You will never be the same" with a sad face they said "You may not be able to do what you used to do" with a fearful face "Most people get a little better, but it's going to take a long time" with a pat on the leg...which by the way I couldn't feel
It got worse...2 relapses...a new diagnosis #CIDP (Chronic Inflammatory Dimylinating Polyneuropathy)... Then they said it could be forever... 🤬😡😷👽🙅 They were right...I'll never be the same...that experience changed me
They were right..I can't do what I did..or at least the way I used to do it... I know what it's like to struggle with all those physical symptoms first had... fatigue, complete loss of strength, lack of energy and endurance
The weight gain...the muscle loss from not moving..the rebound..and not 10lbs..50-60 lbs back and forth
Bad food choices...all of it
I get it... I've been there... There only difference is that I made a different choice.. And that was the biggest take away for me... choosing to be better is up to you.. Excuses just delay your progress
Be truthful to yourself... Do it for Your SELF... So many people worry about not losing a few pounds right away...and they quit
Patience to do what have to do everything day knowing the outcome is coming requires discipline... Both of those are gifts I took from that experience... That I can know share with everyone 🖐️
