Listen "Suburban schools could close if Pa. budget stalemate drags on, districts warn"
Episode Synopsis
The Pennsylvania budget stalemate could force a Bucks County school district to close its schools. The Morrisville School District is warning that this could happen by the end of January if it does not receive funding.
In a letter to parents, the superintendent says, in part, that the district has done everything it could to stretch its resources.
Delaware County's William Penn School District issued a similar warning last week.
Both school systems say more than half of their operating budget is funded by the state.
