Listen "Lawsuit claims ousted head of Philadelphia Art Museum was wrongfully terminated"

Episode Synopsis

The former head of the Philadelphia Art Museum says she's the victim of breach of contract, unfair treatment, and abuse.

Sasha Suda is suing over her firing. She claims she was not given a chance to defend herself during a "sham investigation" that she says "reached false conclusions."

In a lawsuit filed in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas, Suda says the museum "engaged in a malicious campaign of retaliation, disparagement, and humiliation." She alleges she was falsely portrayed as "misusing museum funds for personal gain."

The museum has said Suda was dismissed for cause and that these claims are "without merit." She wants a jury trial, and is seeking two years' severance pay and damages.
