I've been a consistent reader for most of my life, and the creative process of novel writing has always seemed fascinating. Creating a world, characters, places, motives, and an emotional resonation for the reader is like the grandest of magic tricks.  How can someone I don't know put images and sentences into my head that, in some cases, last a lifetime?!
