The fugu or smock is the most distinctive dress from the Northern Ghana which gained national recognition from the 1990s when the first President Osagyefo Dr Kwame Nkrumah and his CPP entourage wore to announce Ghana’s independence on 6th March 1957. In this Episode, Dyllis Agyapong talks about how the smock was first introduced into Ghana by the Moshies who migrated from Burkina Faso and settled in the Northern part of the country and the Hausas from Nigeria.
