This edition of J. Certified's 10 in Ten explores the connection between favorite movie and TV show theme songs to hip-hop music.  Many of hip-hop's popular songs have used some of the familiar tunes from TV shows and movies to create chart topping hits.  Rap artists who have been inspired by many shows and films that date back as far as 1937 to be the sound behind their music.
This show reminds us of how clever music producers can take the sounds from a TV or movie theme song, add rhythmic lyrics and a catchy hook, to produce an entire new song.  The beauty of this creative work is that the music from these timeless TV shows and movies will continue to live on through hip-hop.
