Listen "Mizzou Storytellers - Henry Josey"
Episode Synopsis
On this week’s episode of “Mizzou Storytellers,” Dave Matter and Loretta Jones visit with one of the most unforgettable figures in Missouri football history, former star running back Henry Josey. After a devastating knee injury cut short his breakout 2011 season, Josey spent more than a year fighting his way back — and in 2013 returned with a vengeance, earning Cotton Bowl MVP honors and delivering one of the most iconic plays in program history: a 57-yard, game-winning touchdown run against Texas A&M that clinched the SEC East Championship. As Mizzou prepares to honor him before Saturday’s game against the Aggies, Henry revisits his grueling comeback that established his legacy as one of the most beloved players in recent program history. Henry shares thoughts on the historic run that beat Texas A&M, his decision to turn pro and his reflections on life after football — as a father, mentor and proud Mizzou alum.
