Wrapping up Black History Month, my guest is Dr. Yvette "Diva" Williams. When her twins' father left her to raise them alone, telling her she was nothing but a "sorry welfare mother."This was 1993. Instead of buckling, Yvette used her good upbringing and values from her parents, matched them with her voice talent, earned advanced college degrees, played on the radio for a while, wrote and published a book, became a bodybuilder and launched a musical career, with four albums of original music in her catalog, and new music out now.Yvette explains where her "Diva" distinction comes from, and her passion for civil and human rights.
