Arctic sea ice has begun its seasonal melt, which will soon allow ice-class LNG vessels to head east from Russia’s Yamal project to end-user markets in northeast Asia. ICIS experts Ed Cox and Alex Thackrah discuss the impact this will have on LNG tonnage leaving Yamal, which has so far headed exclusively westwards.
