Listen "Imposter Syndrome"
Episode Synopsis
In this episode of the Head Smart podcast I'm talking about Imposter Syndrome and challenging anyone who thinks they have it, to think differently. Is it just a lack of confidence? Are there attributes to people who feel they have this? New research suggests they do. I also talk about why labels are for tins and not people (this phrase I must attribute to the lovely Paola Royal). And finally, the Dunning Kruger effect, the other side of the coin. Do you know someone who genuinely believes they are way more capable than is actually the case? Is this helpful to them and you? Can it even be dangerous? If you have any thoughts or experiences that you would like to share, please contact me.
