This first episode is about Martha Gellhorn, journalist and writer and general badass. This woman broke rules to make sure that she covered wars and all kinds of unrest around the world. And she started doing that in the 1930's! She ran straight through the pearl-wearing, husband-obeying '40's and '50's and kept going into her 80's.
She is an example of courage, determination, self-expression and tenacity.
