Disciples are called to give themselves completely over to Christ. Today the disciples move to another stage of learning as they journey to Jerusalem. The way of discipleship involves the same process for all believers-detachment, self-denial, taking up the cross. Yet the mystery remains. Why must Jesus suffer and die? Will you go away like Jesus to pray in solitude and answer the question posed by Jesus, "Who do you say that I am?"
