God And Beer - Edition 22- John Canavan (Divine Mercy Publications) An event from the Knights of the Southern Cross Victoria to bring together Catholic men and women of all ages from across the south-east suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, several times a year. The aim is to inspire and strengthen Catholics by providing ideas and inspiration for renewal by drawing on the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic faith. The twenty-first face-to-face event (held at the Notting Hill Hotel on Monday March 18, 2024) featured John Canavan, Comedian and Founder of Divine Mercy Publicaions. John spoke on his story- "Divine Comedy to Divine Mercy". John Canavan experienced a profound conversion back to the Catholic faith in 1989. He worked for many years as an R-rated comedian, and after having seen an image of the Merciful Jesus, he was deeply touched – and in a powerful way, knows that he was called to spread the message of Divine Mercy throughout Australia and the Oceania region. https://divinemercy.com.au/ An initiative of the Knights of the Southern Cross Victoria to bring together people of all ages from across the south-east suburbs of Melbourne each month.
