Quantum computing isn’t just about a new type of computer—it’s a completely new way of thinking about computing. For decades, classical computers have powered our world, but now we’re at a very interesting stage in the history of computing, where we may see in our lifetimes a complete paradigm shift to quantum. Will quantum computers solve complex problems that have been out of reach for classical computers? Will they help us tackle some of the big environmental and public health challenges we face in the coming decades? And on the other side will they create new challenges, particularly when it comes to cybersecurity?
