Arlene first began visiting Greenport in the 1960s, drawn to its charm and sense of community, eventually making the village her full-time home. Over the years, she’s witnessed Greenport’s many transformations.Arlene has played an integral role in shaping that transformation through deep civic involvement. From the Carousel Committee to serving as Chair of the East End Seaport Museum, her commitment to local institutions is tireless. She’s also a proud member of the Greenport Rotary and helped launch the Paul Drum Project, which offers free enrichment programs to local children every summer. Today, Arlene reflects on the changes she’s seen, the legacy she’s helped build, and her hopes for Greenport’s future.
