Maurel Nichols, also known as Catt Daddy, comes from York South Carolina, which is approximately 25 miles away from the Charlotte city limits in North Carolina. He started taking his music seriously around 2013.



Since he was 16 years old, he has been involved in music, participating in Gospel productions and learning to play drums and keyboards. Catt Daddy released his first Southern Soul album, "2 Wrongs," on February 14, 2024. He has now released a new upbeat single called "FACES." It is available on all digital platforms, and the music video will be released soon.
