"Slick' Joe Fick, known for his high energy performance, comic bass fiddle stunts and Willie Dixon-esque bass stylings, has entertained thousands of fans and played in half a dozen countries. In 2005, he portrayed his hero, bassist Bill Black in the movie Walk The Line. After moving to Nashville he joined the Don Kelley band at Roberts Western World. Now you can catch Fick as he fronts the house band there called Kelley's Heroes , Wednesday - Saturday from 6:30-10pm.NARAS-nominated upright bassist/vocalist is the co-founder of the Memphis-based rockabilly trio, The Dempseys, who were dubbed "the most entertaining rockabilly show on the planet", by the Rockabilly Hall of Fame.
