Peter is writing a letter to believers in Asia Minor reminding them that our faith and hope are in God, and we should set our eyes toward eternity and what is imperishable.Peter knew suffering, but Peter also knew Jesus. His letters are an encouragement to anyone facing hardships and trials and a reminder that we can be steadfast because our God is steadfast. And when we persevere, what awaits us in eternity is worth far more than anything this world has to offer.
