Listen "Breaking News for 29 October 2025"
Episode Synopsis
Bob and Simon discuss three important news items breaking today:* Green co-leader Chloe Swarbrick wants to promote the legalisation of cannabis - again! Family First has labeled it the re-litigation of a losing argument from 2020.* The Ministry of Education have released the draft Years 0-10 Health and Physical Education Learning Area - including the contentious RSE curriculum (Relationships& Sexuality Education). This is now available for wider feedback. The current Health and Physical Education curriculum remains in effect until 1 January 2027. We do a deep-dive into some of the key changes proposed. * Big Tech (Meta, TikTok and Snap) have said they will comply with Australia's new law banning social media for young people - and admit that they already know which accounts belong to under-16s. Does that mean that we don't need age verification after all?!
