The spiritual life is to become living letters of Christ to be read by others. Our stories reveal God's redemptive stories to draw people to Christ. What do people read about us?
If the gospel transforms us we SMELL as the aroma of Christ (2 Cor. 2:4-7) but also SEEN as the "Living Letter of Christ" (2 Cor.3:1-6).
What and how do we become living letters of Christ?
Credential of True Ministry (1-3) - evidence of true ministry is not a program of being busy in church but people becoming like Christ.
Confidence in Transforming Ministry (4-6) - embracing human inadequacy to discover divine adequacy through the Holy Spirit writing Christ in the heart.
Contemplative Training Ministry (3) - to facilitate openness to the Holy Spirit to obey Christ. Through the ministry of contemplation, we cultivate the heart by centering the heart to Christ as Lord.
