Is harm reduction policy applicable for children? How to find a proper limit to protect our children? How was addiction policy influenced by pandemic? Wich countries are the most inspiring in the area of drug policy? What is YODA and how it contributes to effective development of addiction policy? 🗣SPEAKERMs. Iga Jeziorska studied social prevention and resocialisation in Poland and moved to Hungary in 2013. She is currently a PhD candidate at the Institute of Economic and Public Policy of the Corvinus University of Budapest. Iga has been involved in the field of drug policy since 2011. She has been involved in the work of the Social Drug Policy Initiative in Poland and is now involved in the work of the Civil Society Forum on Drugs in the EU. The purpose of this expert group is to provide a broad platform for a structured dialogue between the Commission and the European civil society which supports drug policy formulation and implementation through practical advice. Since 2016, Ms. Jeziorska joined the Youth Organisations for Drug Action (YODA). YODA is a network of youth organizations and young activists, working in 21 European countries, which advocates for human rights and public health to be firstly considered when looking for solutions to the global drug problem. 📍TOPIC Ms. Iga Jeziorska visited Prague due to her involvement in the 5th European Harm Reduction Conference. In this episode she will speak about how pandemic showed importancy of takeing care of mental health, that is also close related to people using substances. This fact can help policy makers to realise that this topic should be more prioritized. In this episode Ms. Jeziorska also compared changes in addiction policy and takeing care of mental health that have taken place in Hungary and Poland and mentioned countriest that are inspirational in area of drug policy. One of the main topics was also YODA, where Ms Jeziorska is a deputy director.
