Image Comics is currently undergoing a massive push on some incredible titles on its publishing schedule, with hit after hit going great guns at comic boom shops reopening across the globe. UNDISCOVERED COUNTRY, ICE CREAM MAN, BLACK MAGICK, GIDEON FALLS, MERCY, SEA OF STARS... the titles go on and on. The imagination and sheer storytelling prowess on display at Image have been nothing short of remarkable.
One such comic is the American crime noir thriller, THAT TEXAS BLOOD, written by Chris Condon and with art by Jacob Philips - but getting the book out of the door has not been an easy task, not in 2020. The chaps join us to talk about what it has taken to create the book in the first place, the inspirations and process of getting it made and what they have planned for this initial chapter of the story. and then also the challenges of releasing a book when the world is seemingly (and literally) on fire...
