Episode Synopsis

Welcome to Sunday Online at Encounter Vineyard.  If you are joining us for the first time, a very warm welcome to you, if you regularly join with us online, thank you for travelling with us as a church, where together we seek to follow the ‘Way of Jesus.’  This Sunday we are back in the building for both our morning and evening celebrations as well as online. We do just want to say thank you to all who joined with us last Sunday on Abbey Terrace for the annual Remembrance Sunday service in Winchcombe for what was a special occasion in the community. This Sunday we are wrapping up our series ‘Navigating Uncertainties’ where we have been exploring how we can be equipped for what is unknown and what is unexpected in our lives as we have looked at various characters from the Old Testament. Over the last few Sundays, we have looked at the themes of faith and uncertainty, future orientation, reconciliation and forgiveness, the challenge of culture and trusting God, by looking at the characters Abraham, Ruth, Joseph, Daniel and Joshua. Today Mark brings the message ‘Why We Do What We Do’ where he looks at how we all have ‘potholes’ in our life stories. This message unpacks the actions of Haman in the story of Esther and what we can learn from the potholes in his life, to help us, with God, patch up the ones in our own lives. We hope that you enjoy worshipping and celebrating with us and we pray that today would be a blessing for us all.
