Episode Synopsis

The importance of having a vision cannot be overemphasised. Vision defines your journey, and points us where you're headed. It points us in the direction of your dreams and helps us have a grasp of what plays out in your mind. The bible says, "Where there's no vision, the people perish" (Prov. 29: 18). Many people are in a perishing state today because there's no vision on which their lives and enterprises are run. Most often, you identify a man lacking in vision by his uncoordinated approach to life. A man without a vision would not be able to set the right priorities. At best, he would place premium on things that hold no value at the expense of what does. He'd have an overblotted ego of self-fulfilment for achieving mundane things while starving himself the opportunity to make meaningful propositions to life. Your vision would determine what you chase after or allow run after you. Your vision would determine the circle you mingle with, the things you embrace and what you discard. A man who lacks vision would only see a problem and magnify it. The same thing he considers a challenge is what someone with a vision sees as an opportunity that must never be missed. So vision defines perspectives. Vision determines our focus: either on the immediate problem or on the bigger picture. And there's always a bigger picture with prospects that the visionless cannot see. That's what keeps people or organisations in business. The moment Abram caught the right vision, it didn't matter anymore what part Lot chose!
