Memory Verse: ‭‭"‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭But the vessel that he was making from clay was spoiled by the potter’s hand; so he made it over, reworking it and making it into another pot that seemed good to him." - Jeremiah 18:4 AMP Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭John 15:1‭-‬2 ERV 1. Jesus said, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2. He cuts off every branch of mine that does not produce fruit. He also trims every branch that produces fruit to prepare it to produce even more. INSPIRATION: In God's agenda for us to turn out great, separation is crucial to any meaningful walk anyone would have with God. Abraham was called to leave his father's house to a new country; Joseph was separated from his father's house; Moses had to turn aside to see the burning bush; David was constantly separated in the wilderness, etc. All of these were a kind of pruning mechanism, and none of these experiences was an easy one. Paul would counsel, "Come out from amongst them and be separate" (2 Cor 6:17). Everyone who desires to be a vessel used by God must heed the call to separate themselves unto God or unto a cause they believe. Your consecration must not be outward hypocritical show but one that's birthed from deep within your spirit. This year, God wants to trim you away from mindsets that do not align with His purposes, trim you away from belief systems and lifestyles that limit your possibilities; trim doubt, double-standard and sinful tendencies out of your life; trim unseriousness about life and profanity of deeply spiritual things out of your life. He'll take you through a journey of separation and intimacy with him like you've never experienced. He will cut down on your excesses and bring you into maturity and sonship, so that everything that got "spoiled" in your life like the spoilt pot in the potter’s hands can be "made over, reworking it and making it into another pot that seemed good to him" - (Jere. 18:4 AMP). This kind of separation may break you temporarily but would fix you permanently and prepare you to produce even more fruits (John 15:2). May you yield completely when He initiates this move. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Take the issue of divinely orchestrated separation seriously this period. Stay spiritually sensitive and do not resist as the Holy Spirit takes you on a journey of separation to trim off your unproductive excesses. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please separate me from every unfruitful tendency and trim me into your own worthy vessel. As I yield to the call of separation, You would trim me into all-round productivity, remake me into a vessel fit for the Master's use, in Jesus name.
