Memory Verse: ‭‭ "Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light" - Genesis 1:3 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ Psalms 119:105 NKJV 105. Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. INSPIRATION: Yesterday, we advocated on the need to spread our reach⁹. Today, we shall take it a step further to establish reasons why yielding to the control of the Holy Spirit is crucial to our lives. At creation, the first thing the Holy Spirit did was to create light. There can be no direction or advancement where light is absent. This year, you must constantly pray that the eyes of your understanding are enlightened (Eph. 1:18), that you do not experience blurred or blurry vision, that you receive clarity and direction in the cause of your pursuit, and that you receive revelational insight and inspiration to do things that have eternal value and are purpose-driven. Why is this important? The Psalmist guides us thus, "Truth’s shining light guides me in my choices and decisions; the revelation of your Word makes my pathway clear" (Psalms 119:105 TPT). When light comes, it guides your choices and decisions. It doesn't leave you confused or second-guessing your next line of actions or what options best suit your purposes. Light reveals hidden treasures, it exposes hidden things and makes bare hidden secrets. It was through light that Joseph could tell and interprete Pharaoh's dreams; it was by the revelational insight of light that Daniel could interprete the handwriting on the King's Wall. When God's light floods your path, you do not stumble; when you operate in light, you become a floodgate of spiritual connectivity with the Holy Spirit that leaves nothing to chance. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Develop genuine intimacy with the Holy Spirit. Expose yourself to the light of God's Word and Spirit. Be filled with light. Hunger for a discerning Spirit, a seeing eye, a hearing ear and a mind flooded with light. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please help me to walk in the light of your word, flood my life with your light and revelation. Fill me daily with the right knowledge, revelational insight and spirit-inspired light to address the issues of my life according to Your will, in Jesus name.
