INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Monday, February 24, 2025 Topic: MADE BY CHOICE! Memory Verse: ‭‭ "See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil" - Deuteronomy 30:15 KJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭Deuteronomy 30:19 KJV 19. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: INSPIRATION: Every now and again, life presents us with choices to make that are determinants of either our rise or fall. We all are products of choices, either the ones we made by ourselves or those made for us by others like our parents, government policies, organisational structures, etc. Either ways, we're positively or negatively impacted by these choices directly or indirectly. Therefore, to make choices on impulse would be an unwise decision to make that may come with far-reaching consequences. Sometimes, people think they're too smart to make bad choices. But over time, we've seen destinies ruined, conglomerates fold up, and great relationships crumble on the altar of a wrong decision. Choices come with power, the effect or results can alter life's dynamics forever. That's why we must be present in the moment while choosing. If you choose by the dictates of your emotions, the pain is yours to nurse if the results turn out bad; if you get it right, the rewards are yours to enjoy eventually. Never forget a bad decision is like an earth tremor with far-reaching consequences. It is against this background Moses tells us to choose life and blessings as against death and curses. There're choices that lead to life's blessings, there's those that lead to death or produce curses. Don't be vain to choose the way that seems right in your eyes (Prov. 14: 12): that's death calling you, be it death in business capital, death in love, death in ideas, or death as in ceasation of life. Paul says, "... And now I will show you a superior way to live that is beyond comparison" (1 Cori 12:31 TPT)! TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Those who trivialise the power of making the right choices end up with deep-seated regrets. Don't add to this negative statistics PRAYER: Dear Lord, please give the courage and presence of mind to make the right decisions always. Guide my plans, thoughts, actions, and emotions to align with your will that guarantees my utmost good, in Jesus name, Amen.
