Episode Synopsis

INSPIRE Devotionals With Emmanuel Afiawari Tuesday, February 18, 2025 Topic: GET TO WORK ALREADY! Memory Verse: ‭‭ "So he called ten of his servants, delivered to them ten minas, and said to them, ‘Do business till I come.’" - Luke 19:13 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭Luke 19:26 NKJV 26. ‘For I say to you, that to everyone who has will be given; and from him who does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him. INSPIRATION: As we approach this subject today, two scriptures come to mind: And He said to them, “Why did you seek Me? Did you not know that I must be about My Father’s business?” (Luke 2:49) and "Moreover it is required in stewards that one be found faithful" (1 Corin. 4:2). These texts will form the basis upon which this topic is approached. Glory comes in the place of service; in the place of passionate, dedicated service, where you're consumed by the zeal of the Lord. The right zeal, not eye service (Eph. 6:6), confers a sense of deep-seated responsibility on you to please the Master, and to be about His business. When the Master says to, "Do business till I come," or "Occupy till I come," what comes to your mind? You can't occupy or do business with the Lord's assignment when you've been idle all along; you can't do business the Lord's way when you haven't been a faithful and committed steward. Stewardship stems from relationship. Stewardship is a training ground, a breeding process to mature you into mastery. But the key remains faithful accountability. If you're called upon right this minute to render account of your service to God (Rom. 14:12), would you have justification for your actions before the all-knowing God like you would have before men? To get busy doing business till he comes is to deploy all of the resources he's given you to ensuring that the kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ (Rev. 11:15). TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Know your assignment and map out a strategy to dispense with it faithfully. Determine that God's business in your hands must not suffer loss or neglect. Get busy. The standards of faithfulness in stewardship is God's. Measure your services using God's scales, not yours. PRAYER: Dear Lord, teach and help me to prioritise your work, to serve with diligence and be busy in the real sense of it. Cause my stewardship to come to You as a sweet, pleasing savour, that brings you delight while making me to shine forth gloriously, in Jesus name.
