Memory Verse: ‭‭ "How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him." - Acts 10:38 NKJV Bible Text:  ‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭‭ Luke 4:18‭-‬19 NKJV 19. The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; 19. To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord. INSPIRATION: There's a catchy phrase in our Scriptural reading that we must not lose sight of: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to..." Whenever the Spirit of God comes on anyone, he comes with an anointing to carry out specific tasks. The assignment necessitates the investment of the anointing and the depositor or creditor is the Holy Spirit. If he can't find any assignment upon your life that's worthy of his investments, you won't get any deposits of the anointing. This should worry you when next you seek God's increased anointing upon your life. The question would always be, "Anointing for what?" Until you're able to answer this "for what question," you're most uncertain about your assignment. God will never back up any project he didn't commission. What are you anointed for? After the anointing came upon Jesus at his baptism, he went on a miracle performing spree. The anointing commissioned and licensed Him to produce results. If your anointing doesn't stir you up to go about doing good, healing the sick and causing deliverance for the oppressed, something might be wrong with your source of power. Whilst we agree the anointing is not for show, Jesus showed us a clear example to follow, which is, to go about performing miracles. TODAY'S TAKE HOME: Grow in your intimacy and fellowship with the Holy Spirit. Critically examine what purposes you're anointed to handle. Are you handling them right? Spread the fragrance of your grace and anointing. Impact others positively with it. PRAYER: Dear Lord, please anoint me again with fresh oil so that I can gloriously manifestat results. Cause your Holy Spirit to come upon me with more anointing and fire to effectively impact my world for Christ, in Jesus name.
