The church is a movement of God.

The most dangerous (and pointless) thing we can do is try to do God’s work without God’s Spirit.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

“So when they had come together, they asked him, ‘Lord, will you at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?’”
— Acts 1:6

“He said to them, ‘It is not for you to know times or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.’”

Their hearts were gripped by the gospel.

They were surrendered to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

They were completely devoted to the mission.

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

The Kingdom of God moves through the witness of His people.

The church is not a cruise ship; it’s an aircraft carrier.

When my heart is full, my mouth will sing.

We cannot minimize the necessary role of the Holy Spirit in our lives.

We Need to Know:
- The Holy Spirit brings conviction of sin.
- The Holy Spirit dwells in believers permanently.
- The Holy Spirit illuminates Christ to his people.

God wants to do a work IN and THROUGH His people.
