This is a two part episode of the podcast. Part one features a chat with Celine Elliott, the Youth Development Manager at English Heritage. In our conversation we talk about Celine’s route into the heritage sector through youth work and the work she’s currently involved with on the ‘Shout Out Loud’ project, which aims to provide a platform for young people to explore the heritage sites and collections across England, helping them to uncover untold stories from our past. By amplifying their voices, Shout Out Loud attempts to puts their ideas and stories at the heart of English Heritage.

Part 2 of this episode is a conversation between myself (Iain Wheeldon), Sophie Hampson, the National Apprenticeships and Work Experience Manager at English Heritage, Abi Thackway, A Heritage Advisor for English Heritage and Maria Petts, The Interim Project Support Officer for the Youth Engagement Team also with English Heritage. This chat was originally recorded as part of English Heritage’s Shout Out Loud project and I wanted to include it in the podcast series because it focuses on alternative routes into the heritage sector, which I thought might be useful for some listeners.
